Dear Make A Wish,

It has been forever since I last wrote to you all - please ,please try to forgive me for taking so long to thank you for Cyril's unbelievable Wish Trip to Disney World…there's really no excuse, but I'm going to give you one anyway! The ordinary craziness of life gets in the way of this sort of thing, and leaves us exhausted at the end of the day - believe me. Cyril is doing well - Cyril has some health issues shortly after we got back. His spasm increased because his Botox medication in his body wore out and his follow-up was delayed due to unavailability of dates! We had to take him to ER and to handle his situation immediately. He is improving slowly now and feels better.



I have been putting this letter off and off, 'till it just got out of hand! I was hoping that I would find a long afternoon to write to you - I wanted my words to perfectly reflect my heartfelt thanks to you, Make A Wish and Give Kids the World --- well the words look lame. Thank you…It's just not enough! What we experienced through your kindness is truly indescribable. The kindness in people is hardly ever talked about openly, never in the news, never made a big deal of - but it should be!! We were brought to tears from the first moment we got to know the Sarah, Gretchen, Suzanne and other volunteers to our fantastic trip!! Sincere kindness and caring is alive and well and exists in the MAWF and GKTW - not to mention Disney World!! Everywhere we went, Cyril wore his magic button from GKTW - the moment people saw the button, he was made to feel so very special, he was hugged, loved, escorted to the front every ride's line and to every character, given free tickets to shows, showered with gifts - each night he fell asleep with such happy memories, and a smile that is still there! The thoughts of his Neurologic Disorder(H-ABC), the muscle treatments, x-rays, needles, pain, therapy, loss of body mass, not being able to play - were far, far behind him!

Let me tell you, it was a wonderful trip, from start to finish - and we hated for it to end! I would have no suggestions to make it any better - it was simply a perfectly magical vacation! Our limo was unreal, it went on forever - Cyril was amazed at the size and beauty of it - what a sweet ride!! And our driver was sooo funny and nice! A MAWF rep met us at the airport, too - he just beamed! Our flight was smooth sailing - we were there in no time! A gentle man from GKTW met us with a great poster and assisted us to checkout and our car which was great and so convenient. The folks at GKTW were just lovely - couldn't do enough for us! The villa we stayed in was awesome, spacious and so cute and beautiful. I cannot describe Disney, I was instantly a 7-year old along with Cyril - He rode many rides like a demon, swam and snorkeled with dolphins and stingrays, got the autograph of every character you could think of, was part of Mickey's parade, was dressed up like a prince in a big castle. He adored Magic Kingdom, Sea World and the Studios.

I'll end here by saying "thank you" again from our hearts. We are so honored to know each of you "Angels". You are indeed special people in every way - I can't stress enough the sheer joy you brought to our child.
