Volunteers Jill and Michael Zimmer write:

Pink, pink, pink. Hali's world is surrounded by pink. Her parents described her as a "diva" and she told us how her classmates and teachers all know what her favorite color is, so when she was asked to tell us about her wish, Pink was a big part of it.

Hali being a classic 11 year old girl, spends her free time crocheting and playing her key board piano that sits on a desk in her "pink" bedroom. But being the diva that she is, was so excited to ask Make-A-Wish Foundation for a very special new piano. Hali wished for a Pink & White striped piano with her name detailed on it!

The Wish coordinators quickly went to work - ordering a white upright piano and making arrangements to have it custom painted. Hali had very clear requests for the piano's pink stripes and worked with the coordinators to get it just right.

Hali's piano was delivered in March. When we visited her and her family to celebrate its arrival she gave us a personal concert and of course she was wearing pink!

The volunteers Jill and Michael were so nice to Hali and the rest of us; very patient and always bringing Hali gifts. Also the people at Wilmington Piano who did such a nice job on her piano. A true show piece. THANK YOU!
