Araceli     In lieu of gifts for their daughter Araceli's 1st birthday, Thania and Ian Eason asked friends and family for toys that they could donate to Make-A-Wish Foundation for the wish kids. The wide range of toys including footballs, scrapbooks and games is greatly appreciated and we thank the Eason family and their friends for their generosity.



Karen Traten, Development Director and Dennis Heron, President & CEO of Make-A-Wish Foundation of Philadelphia & Susquehanna Valley accept a donation from Rachel Robinson and Madison Yoder who raised over $600 through a Car Wash and Bake Sale fundraiser. Juliano     Jaci Juliano, a senior at Upper Merion Area High School, raised $1,520 by organizing a benefit concert at her school. The concert, which was her senior project, was a success and the money raised will help to grant a wish for a local girl whose wish is to visit Disney World this summer. Students at Jolly Tots Child Care Center in Southampton, PA participate in the 2009 Bunny Hop For Hope Event. The event raises money to help grant local wishes for children in our area. Jimmy & Alex     Jimmy Nowoswiat and Alex Hornibrook donated $328 to Make-A-Wish Foundation recently as a result of their community service efforts for their upcoming Confirmation. The boys sold the Make-A-Wish magnetic stars to friends and family to raise the funds that will now help support the mission of Make-A-Wish. Thank you to Jimmy and Alex for their caring support!



The Villa Maria Academy Girl's Soccer Team participated in a Soccer Dribble event this past April, which raised an astounding $14, 183 to grant three local wishes. One of the sponsored wishes is for Ashley, whose wish is to visit Disney World with her family in June. Ursula     6-year-old Ursula presented a $455 donation to Make-A-Wish Foundation. Ursula raised the money by asking her friends and family to donate to Make-A-Wish Foundation for her birthday in lieu of gifts for her. The donation was made in memory of Ursula's dearly departed cousin, Sophie Jane, who received a wish when she was 3-years-old to go to Disney World. The donation will go toward sponsoring a little boy's wish to visit Disney with his family later this month. Thank you for your kindness Ursula.



Keith Valley Middle School kicked off their 33rd Annual Overnight Hockey Marathon with a donation of $36,104.62! Thank you to all the students, administrators and teachers at Keith Valley for making wishes come true each year for local children who are ill.     Keith Valley



Seth     For the 2nd year, Conestoga Valley High School held their "Holiday Wishes" fundraiser. This year CV was able to raise $6,500 to sponsor Seth's wish! Not only did they fundraise for his wish, but they also made Seth their guest of honor at a varsity basketball game on Monday, January 5th. Seth got to hang out with the team, throw the ball to start the game and participated in the check presentation at half time. Thank you Conestoga Valley for all your hard work!



Hempfield High School Student Council raised over $4,000.00 for Make-A-Wish Foundation through their annual Variety Show. The Variety Show is a huge talent show held the first Saturday evening in December. Students audition for the show and selected acts participate in the show. Perkiomen Valley High School Vikings     The Perkiomen Valley High School Vikings Girl's basketball team presents a $625 donation to Make-A-Wish Foundation that was raised through team fundraisers. The students and teachers at The PJA School in Upper Darby presented a donation of over $2,100 to Make-A-Wish Foundation. The fundraiser ‘Time For Change’ was organized by Joe Oaster, a teacher at PJA and a wish dad. His daughter Abby who was there for the check presentation wished to visit Disney World with her family to meet Snow White in 2005. Carolers     The Andrisani family and friends held their annual "Christmas Caroling for Kids" and raised over $14,000 to help make wishes come true. Special thanks for their sweet voices and kind hearts: Olivia, Alexa, Sophia, Molly, Riley, Evan, Michael, Megan and Jillian.



Kyle Connison collected toys for his Eagle Scout Project and his efforts resulted in boxes of donated toys for our wish kids including soccer balls, an IPOD Nano, dvd's, coloring books, gift certificates and puzzles to name a few. Lemonade     Kellie O'Brien and friends raised $208 for Make-A-Wish Foundation through a confirmation project and Lemonade Sale. The girls sold the Lemonade on a Sunday afternoon outside of their school because they wanted to help make a child's wish come true. Thank you girls for your kind support!



Blue Bell Elementary School's Student Council along with advisors, Frank DeRuosi and Tishara O'Brien present an amazing $2,950 to Make-A-Wish Foundation of Philadelphia & Susquehanna Valley. The money was raised through the school's 3rd Annual Student Art Sale. Because of this generous support, 13-year-old Marissa was able to meet American Idol winner and country music superstar, Carrie Underwood! Germantown Academy     The tradition of giving continues at Germantown Academy with the 11th Annual Make-A-Wish Basketball Showcase benefiting Make-A-Wish Foundation of Philadelphia & Susquehanna Valley. This amazing event involves students, the community and the school and this year raised over $8,800 to help grant local wishes. We thank all our good friends at Germantown Academy; Coach Fenerty, Mr. McVeigh, the players and the students for their dedication and support of our mission.



Elizabeth Fleischer, a student at Sandy Run Middle School, receives a Kids For Wish Kids® certificate recognizing her Mitzvah project donation of $225.36. Keith Valey     Keith Valley Middle School held the 32nd Annual Keith Valley Challenge on Friday and Saturday, Feb. 8-9. The overnight hockey marathon raised an unbelievable $51,532 that will benefit Make-A-Wish Foundation of Philadelphia & Susquehanna Valley and the ALS Association of Southeastern PA

Olivia Andrisani and a team of friends and family continued their holiday tradition of raising funds for wish kids. Through their hard work and beautiful voices, they shared the holiday spirit by singing Christmas carols raising over $16,200 to support wishes. Owen J. Roberts     Owen J. Roberts High School students Morgan Crider (Left) and Nicole Miller (Right) present a check to Rebecca Reid of Make-A-Wish for $7,846.25. The girls are part of the DECA Club at the High School and organized an All-Star Girls Soccer Tournament in November to raise the funds for Make-A-Wish Foundation. The donation is sponsoring a Disney wish for a local child. We thank Nicole and Morgan for their hard work and outstanding dedication to our mission.



Conestoga Valley High School set out to raise $4,000 over a three day fundraiser which they entitled "Holiday Wishes". The goal was set at $4,000 in the hopes that they would raise enough money to sponsor wish child, Andreas' trip to Disney World. Not only did they raise enough to send Andreas to Disney, they also raised enough to send Chloe to Disney and to make Terric's wii game system wish come true! In only three days CVHS was able to raise $10,800! Not bad for a first time fundraiser! The students were rewarded with donuts and a movie before the holiday break. Poquessing     Students in Mrs. Tracey Andre's 9th grade Business, Technology & Communications class at Poquessing Middle School hold up a check for Make-A-Wish Foundation totaling nearly $11,000. The money was raised through various class projects including Make-A-Wish Star Magnet sales, Car Wash, Gift Basket Raffles and donations from local businesses. The students were able to grant David's Wish to go to Hawaii with his family during the summer of 2007. For an added bonus, local businessman, Joe Atkinson, donated first-class airline tickets to Hawaii for David's family bringing the overall donation to over $20,000! Thank you Poquessing Middle School and everyone involved in this wonderful fundraiser!



The Phoenixville Area High School and Middle School Youth in Philanthropy students held a Walk For Wishes Walk-A-Thon in April to help send wish child, Adam, to Disney World. The high school raised over $1,600 and the middle school raised over $1,200 with the balance made available through a Youth in Philanthropy grant funded by Phoenixville Community Health Foundation.

A total of $6,500 will be donated to our chapter to grant Adam's wish. Thank you to Phoenixville High School and Middle School Youth in Philanthropy students for this outstanding effort! Make-A-Wish Development Associate, Rebecca Reid, presents the Drama Club Director, Krista Yerkes, with a plaque and Make-A-Wish banner.
    The Drama Club at Perkiomen Valley Middle School West recently donated $7015.00 to Make-A-Wish Foundation to grant Makenzie's wish to swim with the dolphins. The extraordinary donation was raised through ticket sales from the club's March performance of 'A Year with Frog and Toad'. The Drama Club's director, Ms. Krista Yerkes, organized the club fundraiser and rallied the students together to make Makenzie's wish a reality. Thank you to Ms. Yerkes, the Drama Club students, and all the parents and teachers for this wonderful effort!

Loomis     At a special school assembly, elementary students at Loomis Elementary School in Broomall, PA hold up 'Caring Quilts' that they made along with their classmates especially for Make-A-Wish Foundation. Each year the Loomis students put time, effort and love into each and every quilt square and then donate the finished quilts to our chapter to bring some joy and happiness to other kids their age who are going through a difficult time. Sweet 16     Jacqueline Adams and Lindsey Nakao recently celebrated their Sweet 16 birthdays and instead of asking for gifts from friends and family, the girls decided to ask for monetary donations. Their selfless request resulted in a $1,210 donation to the Make-A-Wish Foundation. The girls are pictured holding up their Kids For Wish Kids certificates recognizing their effort and dedication to help other kids. We thank Jacqueline and Lindsey for being heroes to our wish kids!
