Make-A-Wish Foundation® of Philadelphia & Southeastern Pennsylvania Announces Merger with Susquehanna Valley Chapter

Blue Bell, PA - Today Dennis J. Heron, Executive Director of Make-A-Wish Foundation® of
Philadelphia & Southeastern Pennsylvania announced a merger between the Philadelphia &
Southeastern Pennsylvania chapter and the Susquehanna Valley chapter of Make-A-Wish
Foundation®. The newly formed chapter will be called Make-A-Wish Foundation® of
Philadelphia & Susquehanna Valley and will serve seriously ill children living
in 10 counties including Bucks, Chester, Cumberland, Delaware, Dauphin, Lancaster,
Lebanon, Montgomery, Perry and Philadelphia. Mr. Heron commented about the merger: "I
am pleased to announce this merger that represents a culmination of meticulous work performed
by the Board of Directors between both chapters over the past year. The ultimate goal is to
provide the best possible wish experiences for children with life-threatening medical conditions
in our combined areas, and we know the merger will enable us to do just that." Headquarters for
the chapter will be located in Blue Bell with a satellite office located in Lancaster. It is expected
that the newly formed chapter will fulfill 320 memorable wish experiences for children with life-
threatening medical conditions during fiscal year '08.
Mr. Heron has been serving as executive director of the Philadelphia & Southeastern
Pennsylvania chapter for the past 11 years. Board executives are: President, John C. Ryan, Esq.
of Philadelphia; Vice President, Terry Ditzler of Lancaster; Vice President, Kenneth L.
Eshleman, CFP of Lancaster; Vice President, Micky Dominick of Chalfont; Treasurer, Jordan
Kendall, CPA of Huntingdon Valley; Associate Treasurer, F. Garry Bertrand of Lancaster; and
Secretary, Robert Iannone, MD of Haverford.
