Michael is 14 and has Hodgkin's Lymphoma. His wish was to stay in a cabin with his family in California in the Red Wood Forest area. He and his family write:

Horseback riding was a great way to see the redwood forests! And our cabin was a nice place to hang out when we were not on the trail. It was nice to have my family with me; after all, in many ways they went through my illness with me. It was nice of you to consider that.

We hiked a good long trail through Mariposa Grove in the morning before our train ride. It sure was nice to sit back and rest as we traveled through the woods on a nostalgic train ride. This day is one of our favorite memories of our trip.

The Giant Sequia were everything I envisioned and more. They are huge! You must see them to believe it. The chuck wagon barbeque was a lot of fun; with good food and lots of action. We especially enjoyed the campfire singing.

I'd like to say a special thanks to each person who made this trip possible for me and my family. It was great!
